According to an Association for Fundraising Professionals report (August 21, 2025), total dollars raised by nonprofits grew 3.6 percent annually, but the number of donors declined by 1.3 percent. Particularly troubling is a significant drop (11 percent) in donors giving $1–$100-who make up 57 percent of all donors.
